thMenu Phase 3 Auto-Tier-Up: What Happens to Your Account Automatically

Phase 3 promotes affiliates to Silver, Gold or Platinum the moment 90-day earnings cross the threshold. A Bursa creator hit Gold in 14 days — no email needed.

The Phase 3 affiliate update we shipped in March 2026 killed the single biggest creator complaint of the last year — "my tier upgrade has been pending for weeks." From now on a nightly 12:00 UTC cron called evaluateTier() recomputes your trailing 90-day earnings and silently moves you to the highest tier you have earned.

Why the old manual flow had to go

Until Phase 2, every tier change passed through a Monday morning queue review by the Synaltix super-admin team. Even when a creator had unambiguously crossed Silver, they waited 9 to 12 business days on average. In peak months the backlog stretched to 30 days, and during that window commission was still computed against the old, lower tier.

Our Bursa-based food photographer Elif hit the Silver threshold in February 2026 but waited 18 days for approval — losing roughly 4,200 TL of commission spread in the interim. Under Phase 3 the same profile rolled from Silver to Gold in 14 calendar days without sending a single email.

How auto-tier-up evaluates you

Every day at 12:00 UTC the cron iterates every active affiliate where auto_tier_enabled is true and auto_tier_locked is false. It sums commissions that are confirmed (refund window closed, hold period elapsed) within the trailing 90 days, then matches them against the current thresholds:

Bronze → Silver: $500. Silver → Gold: $2,000. Gold → Platinum: $8,000. Once the threshold is met, the tier is updated, a banner appears on the dashboard, an email is dispatched, and any configured S2S postback fires an HMAC-signed POST so your own CRM stays in sync.

The new progress bar: "how far to the next tier"

The tier card at the top of the affiliate dashboard now carries a live progress bar that recalculates with each confirmed commission. If you sit on Silver with $1,350 of trailing 90-day earnings, the bar reads "$650 to Gold" and predicts an upgrade date based on your last-30-day velocity.

Green means you have already crossed the line and the next nightly cron will promote you. Amber means you sit at 75-99 percent of the threshold and a normal week of sales will probably get you there. The bar is opinionated about transparency — you see what you have earned the moment you have earned it.

FAQ

If a sale refunds, do I lose tier instantly? No. A 30-day grace period lets you climb back above the threshold before any downgrade applies.

Can I disable auto-tier-up? Only super-admins can set auto_tier_locked; ordinary creators cannot opt out — the system protects upside.

Can I jump from Gold to Platinum in one cron run? Yes. The job moves you to the highest tier you qualify for; it does not step one rung at a time.
