Your existing menu, read by AI
An AI restaurant menu tool reads the menu you already have and turns it into categories, dishes and prices. In the Thmenu panel you give the AI importer a photo, a PDF or Word file or the address of your web page; it proposes the menu, you correct it, and nothing is added until you confirm.
Photo → Proposal → Review → Menu
Choose the source
A photo of the printed menu, a PDF or Word file, a public web page, or a short description if you are starting from scratch.
The AI reads it
A language model reads the text; a photo is first transcribed by a vision model. Dish names are copied exactly as written.
Review the proposal
Categories and dishes appear as an editable proposal: correct names, prices and allergens, and choose the menu they go into.
Add to the menu
Nothing is added until you confirm. Then the dishes join the menu you chose, and languages you already translate into are queued again.
Around the import
- 01
Auto-fill for one dish
On any product, Auto-fill with AI drafts a description, ingredients, serving size, nutrition values and allergens; allergens have to be confirmed before the product can be saved.
- 02
A spreadsheet without AI
A spreadsheet saved as CSV is mapped to categories and dishes directly, without a language model.
- 03
Translation in the background
The menu is translated into the guest languages as a background job; allergen names come from fixed wording in each language, not from the model.
- 04
Available to every restaurant
Every restaurant can use the importer, with a daily limit on AI runs.
Good to know
- Check what the AI added
- Where the menu does not print a description, ingredients or allergens, the importer suggests them from general culinary knowledge. Check every allergen before you add the dishes.
- Scanned PDFs
- A scanned PDF has no text layer to read; use the photo option for it, one photo per run.
