How do I set up the KDS (kitchen display)?

The KDS — Kitchen Display System — replaces paper tickets in the kitchen.

1. Put a tablet/old phone in the kitchen.
2. Open admin.thmenu.com/kds in the browser and sign in with your Restaurant ID (your menu link name also works) and a staff member's 4–6 digit PIN (set PINs on the Staff page).
3. New orders show up as cards automatically.
4. Tap Accept, then Start preparing, then READY! — the Orders page shows the order as ready to serve and staff are notified.
5. When the dish is at the table, staff tap Serve on the Orders page — that closes the order.

Tip: keep the tablet screen always-on (disable auto-lock). The KDS refreshes every 10 s and auto-reconnects on dropouts.
