How do I enable table ordering?
Table ordering is included for every restaurant. It starts switched off; turn it on with the Orders switch in Settings → Feature Settings.
Table ordering kicks in when your waiters are overloaded and customers want to order from their phones. It is included for every restaurant and starts switched off for a new one.
- Dashboard → Settings → the Feature Settings card — turn on Orders and press the page's Save button. The same card has Reservations, Feedback and Loyalty switches; all four start switched off for a new restaurant.
- Dashboard → Tables — define your tables and print a QR for each.
- Every order arrives as Waiting on the kitchen screen, and someone taps Accept there (or Confirm on the Orders page) before it is prepared; ✕ Reject turns away a suspicious order. This step is always on, whatever the Every order needs staff approval box in Settings shows. The Call Waiter Button and Request Bill Button switches on the Feature Settings card decide whether guests see those buttons on the menu; both also start switched off for a new restaurant.
- Open the KDS on a kitchen tablet — orders land there.
About payment: ordering and order tracking work without online payment — the guest settles at the table. If you want guests to pay by card from their phone, first connect a Stripe account on the dashboard's Payments page, then turn on Take card payments in the app on the Payment card in Settings (it depends on your country; see "How do I connect Stripe to take card payments?").
The dashboard beeps for every new order while the panel is open on screen (a tab left in the background stays silent; the sound can be muted in the panel). Open the KDS page on a tablet in the kitchen.
