Changelog
What changed in Thmenu
Changes you can see in the guest menu, the restaurant panel and on this site, newest first. Each entry carries the date it went live.
Terms of Service 4.4: no uptime percentage in the availability section
Version 4.4 of the Terms of Service rewrites the section on service availability so that it no longer states an uptime percentage. The Terms require 30 days' notice of a change, so the new availability sentence applies from 29 November 2026; until then the version 4.3 sentence still applies. The fee and commission figures in the Terms and in the Affiliate Agreement are unchanged, and an automated check now keeps them identical to the figures the product uses. Owners see a banner in the restaurant panel asking them to review and accept the new version.
Terms of Service 4.3: a section on AI-assisted features
Version 4.3 of the Terms of Service adds a section on AI-assisted features: AI suggestions are drafts, the restaurant stays responsible for its menu, allergens included, and the guest assistant never places orders or takes payments. Owners see a banner in the restaurant panel asking them to review and accept the new version. The section applies from 27 November 2026.
A link to report content on every guest menu
Every guest menu now has a Report content link in its footer. It opens an email to Thmenu with the menu already named, so a guest can tell us about text or photos they believe are wrong or inappropriate.
Portuguese is now Brazilian Portuguese throughout
The Portuguese guest menu, restaurant panel, partner panel and website now use Brazilian Portuguese consistently, address the reader as "você" and no longer mix in European Portuguese words.
Clearer wording on AI-suggested allergens and nutrition
When a dish's allergens or nutrition values were suggested by AI, the guest menu no longer says the venue confirmed them. It now says they were suggested by AI and saved by the venue, and that the venue is responsible for their accuracy.
Find a dish photo from the product list
Owners can search openly licensed images by the dish name, pick one and add it to the product. The guest menu shows the photo together with its licence and attribution.
Email campaigns for a guest segment, with personal reward codes
Email marketing in the restaurant panel can now be written for one guest segment, and a campaign can give every recipient a personal single-use reward code. An automation can also start when a guest has not been back for 30 days.
A plain answer where online payment is not available
In countries where Thmenu has no online payment provider, the Payments page now says so in plain words instead of offering a Stripe setup. Guest ordering keeps working without online payment.
Readable messages instead of error codes
If changing a tip or cancelling an order fails, the guest menu now shows a sentence in the guest's language instead of a technical error code.
Ordering pauses outside opening hours
When a restaurant has entered its opening hours, the guest menu stops taking orders while the restaurant is closed and tells guests why. Restaurants that have not entered opening hours are not affected.
"How many of you?" when a table is opened
The guest who opens a table session can say how many people are at the table; answering is optional. The restaurant panel uses the answer to show how many guests paid.
The guest menu's own confirmation dialogs
Confirmations and questions in the guest menu, such as clearing recently viewed items, now appear in the menu's own design and language instead of the browser's plain pop-ups.
Every Stripe account state on the Payments page
The Payments page now shows where a restaurant's Stripe account stands (not started, setup to continue, under review, active or declined) together with anything Stripe still asks for. A restaurant without a Stripe account sees the button to start.
AI-drafted website text for every restaurant
Every restaurant can have the text of its restaurant website drafted by AI from its own details. The owner previews the draft, and nothing is published without the owner's approval.
AI menu translations show their real state
The Translations page lists each AI menu translation with its actual state: queued, running, retrying, completed, failed or cancelled.
Every feature for every restaurant, switched in Settings
Every restaurant now has the same full set of features. Guest ordering, reservations, feedback and loyalty are each turned on or off by the owner in Settings.
After paying: receipt, points, rating and follow
After paying, guests see their receipt number, the loyalty points this order earned, a quick rating, a button to follow the restaurant and a link to reorder later from My Thmenu.
Invite a friend, rewarded in the restaurant's own points
On the Loyalty page a restaurant can set a referral reward in its own loyalty points; leaving it at zero keeps it off. Loyalty members get a personal invite link, and when a friend orders through it, both receive the points the restaurant set. If the order is cancelled, the points are taken back.
A sound for new orders on the kitchen screen
The kitchen display plays a sound when a new order arrives, so staff notice it without watching the screen. Orders already on the screen when it opens do not trigger it.
